This morning, as I was carelessly folding laundry and daydreaming, I happen to (for all intensive purposes was probably the first time) the intricate "cuttings out" on the sides of all my laundry baskets.
Now, most of us see something like this, acknowledge is existence and continue on with our chore without further thought. I, however, am not most people. I, being the idiosyncratic that I am, sat there and pondered WHY the minute detail was placed on the baskets to begin with. I mean, is there a purpose to them? Do they have some sort of use that I am unaware of, aside from putting a hanger through while you're carrying laundry up three flights of stairs? Who decides what "design" the latest in their companies collection of laundry baskets will be? Who designs laundry baskets anyway? Why not just make them solid tubs with the cut out handles on the sides with better cushioning on the underside which would make gripping both easier and more ergonomic?
Yes, these are the trivial things that I ponder as I fold my daughter's Tinkerbell Underpants :-\
