Just when you think you have it all figured out...
I've always been complimented on what a wonderful child I have. And I usually agree. She's the type of kid that thanks you for allowing her to do a chore; who empties the dishwasher without being asked or expected to. But lately she's been pushing buttons, boundaries and lashing out in unexpected ways.
It's not throwing a tantrum or yelling. It's refusing to listen, purposefully writing her name backwards and talking back quite a lot. I have a 5 year old going on 16.
Le sigh. What is a Mother to do?
