Higher Education? Yes Please!

Yesterday was my "first day" of college. It was somewhat of a let-down and yet the most refreshing "first day" I've probably ever had.

For starters, because I do my college classes online, there's little interaction between myself and the other students and absolutely NO face to face time. I kind of like that. Which is rather strange because I'm a VERY social person.

Today, however, I discovered that I had the wrong course book for one of my courses. Unsure of how exactly that happened, I was slightly panic stricken. Then I bucked up, emailed my professor to tell about the glitch and then just sort of sat back. My professor replied with a simple "It's early, it's normal and these things even happen to me". Whew! So my panic subsides.

Not to mention that my other class required you to go through the course materials and then take a test at the end of it. An exam in your first week? Yikes! But alas, that is already completed and starting tomorrow I shall be looking ahead towards the next assignment and putting my energy and efforts towards that.

In some ways, I'm very nervous. It's been 10 years since I did any sort of educational class work. On the other hand, I'm excited to finally fulfill my desire to have a degree and prove that I'm just as smart as everyone else.

That and to possibly make more money than my own Husband (as long as he's in the Military) one day!
